Monday
S, Coast Hwy - 1400 Block Warrant arrest
2:56 a.m. When wants and warrants were checked during a traffic
stop, Michael Clayton Moore, 62, San Clemente, was taken into
custody for an unspecified South Court misdemeanor warrant.
Moss Point Burglary, vehicle
6:15 p.m. The driver's side window was smashed to gain access
and grab a purse.
S. Coast Hwy - 600 Block Warrant arrest
9:34 p.m. Shane Bryan Vogelgesang, 21, of San Clemente, was
arrested on a South Court misdemeanor warrant.
Tuesday
Glenneyre - 1200 Block Threats
9:23 a.m. A man came to the police station and reported receiving
emails threatening the lives of his entire family.
S. Coast Hwy - 1100 Block Fraud
11:34 a.m. The RP discovered that an unknown suspect had been
able to print counterfeit checks in his company's name and had
cashed several for a total of approximately $1500.
Wednesday
N. Coast Hwy - 100 Bl Public intoxication
6:04 a.m. A Starbucks employee called 9-1-1 reporting that
an intoxicated man had been inside the store panhandling and
generally bothering customers. The employee, in a vehicle with
its emergency flashers on, was following the man as he walked up
Broadway. Officersmade contact with a homeless man, Gualterio
Montes de Oca, 36, and arrested him for public intoxication.
Skyline Drive - 1400 Block Vandalism
11:20 a.m. A homeowner found that damage had been done to the
front door, a porch light and to roof tiles.
Laguna Canyon Road - 1700 Block Fraud; grand theft
12:38 p.m. Ganahl Lumber reported that it had been victimized
by an unauthorized charge for $855.54 last October. The owner of
a business with an account at Ganahl informed the store by letter
last year that his son was no longer authorized to charge on the
account. Police say the son ran up charges last October at Ganahl,
another Laguna store and others. When Ganahl discovered its error
and contacted the son, he allegedly agreed to make repayment.
When none arrived, Ganahl called police. Charges, if any, against
the suspect are pending further investigation.
Laguna Canyon Road - 2600 Block Burglary, commercial
3:02 p.m. Construction equipment valued at $8000 was taken from
within a locked and fenced storage yard.
Bluebird Canyon Drive - 400 Block Warrant arrest
4:14 p.m. Wants and warrants checked during a traffic stop led to
the arrest of Laguna Beach resident Devin Rafael Segal, 24, for a
Harbor Court Laguna Hills traffic warrant with $2500 bail.
Thursday
S. Coast Hwy - 1200 Block Felony warrant arrest
8:44 a.m. Dillon Bolton, 52, was taken into custody for an
outstanding felony warrant from the LA Sheriff's officein
Hollywood with a charge of possession of drugs. Bail: $30,000.
Glenneyre - 800 Block Fraud; grand theft
2:22 p.m. The RP met with officersat his bank after learning that
$100,000 had been fraudulently taken from his bank account.
Police said the victim hadn't paid close attention before learning
that an unknown suspect had been paying a Visa bill through his
account for about a year.
Top of the World School Grand theft
3:06 p.m. A student's clarinet was stolen.
Police Station Annoying calls
4:02 p.m. A police detective made a report about a known suspect
who had continuously left off-color messages on the detective's
direct phone at the department. The detective will be seeking an
arrest warrant through the OC District Attorney's office.
Friday
Poplar Street - 500 Block Petty theft
5:37 a.m. An unlocked 2005 Corvette was entered overnight. The
RP said that vehicle papers were missing.
La Mirada Street - 800 Block Stolen vehicle
9:09 a.m. A gold Nissan Altima, an Enterprise rental, was stolen
from the RP's driveway overnight.
Linden Street - 400 Block Petty theft
Various and sundry personal items were taken from an unlocked
car overnight.
Saturday
S. Coast Hwy & Upland Road Traffic arrests
7:37 p.m. A patrol unit saw a passenger of a vehicle throw an egg
that hit and broke on a passing bus. The officerstopped the car and
arrested Nicholas Rizzi, 19, of Dana Point for throwing an item at
a moving vehicle. The officeralso located a bottle of booze and
took Joseph Rizzi, 18, into custody on a charge of a minor driving
with alcohol on board.
Broadway - 500 Block Vandalism
10:21 p.m. A passing motorist called police to report that a large
window had been smashed. When police were unable to reach
anyone from the business, the Fire Dept. responded to cover the
opening with plywood.
Ocean Avenue - 200 Block Public intoxication
11:57 p.m. Gualterio Montes de Oca, 36, homeless, was arrested
for public intoxication.
Sunday
S. Coast Hwy & Brooks Street Public intoxication
2:02 a.m. Laguna Niguel resident Matthew Clements, 31, was
taken into custody for public intoxication.
