On Feb. 10, the Peter and Masha Plotkin Memorial Foundation announced the recipients of fivescholarships to Laguna College of Art & Design students. About 10 alumni players, ranging from Chuck Harrell '65 to Noah Brewster '05, returned to the LBHS diamond to take on the current LBHS varsity baseball team in the annual alumni game. Girls Team Grabs WinterFest Championship

The 14 and under girls came away this year as 1st place champions at the annual WinterFest Tournament at the Los Alamitos Base, competing against the top "AA" teams in California. They played their first game against Cal Baptist Lancers winning 6 to 4. Next they played against Corona del Mar, a nail-biter of a game. They tied with CdM, which then went into a shoot out.
