Spring Sports Begin, But Without Softball Town Crier

Students enrolled in spring sports at Laguna Beach High School took on their first competitors in the 2008 season this week. All except one, that is. For the first time in 30 years, the school is without a softball team because there are not enough girls interested, according to athletic director Mike Churchill. Full Story

Crystal Rubachko, a graduate of Laguna Beach High School, was named to the dean's list at the College of Wooster. Rubachko, a first-year student, achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or above. Full Story
