Monday
N. Coast Hwy - 1400 Block Warrant arrest
7:22 a.m. As reported last week, John Patrick McMullan, 39, of
Irvine, was contacted by officersin a motel room after he had
eluded police during a foot pursuit following a traffic stop late
Sunday night. He was arrested for two Harbor Court warrants. The
first - without bail - had charges of child endangerment, battery
on a spouse/cohabitant and criminal contempt of court. The second
was also from Harbor Court for failure to appear, fighting in public
and resisting/obstructing/delaying an officer.
Taco Loco Burglary, commercial
7:33 a.m. $400 in cash was taken from an ATM machine overnight
by an unknown suspect who damaged the ATM - $8400 worth.
Tuesday
Forest Lane - 200 Block Public intoxication
2:43 a.m. Fullerton resident Jesse Monroe Watkins, 32, was taken
into custody for public intoxication.
Temple Terrace and Environs Vandalism, vehicles
5:22 a.m. Police took the first of several reports in the area for
vehicle vandalism after graffiti had been spray painted at sometime
overnight. A Verizon junction box was also tagged.
3rd Street - 300 Block Burglary, commercial
8:06 a.m. Copper and other items were stolen after a hole was cut
into a wire fence to gain access to the Senior/Community Center
construction site.
S. Coast Hwy - 1000 Block Vandalism
9:11 a.m. Large planters were pushed over.
S. Coast Hwy - 300 Block Parole hold +
10:46 p.m. Officersresponded to a report of a disturbance at
the White House. On scene, a homeless man, Paul Leslie Ogle,
51, was taken into custody on misdemeanor charges. An active
parolee, his parole officerordered him held without bail for
violation of the conditions of his parole.
Wednesday
Main Beach Petty theft
9:07 a.m. A homeless artist reported the theft of a painting.
According to police, the painting was removed from where he had
been displaying it while he slept.
Police Station Warrant served
2:05 p.m. A Harbor Court Laguna Hills traffic warrant for willful
violation of a written promise to appear and no evidence of
financial responsibility was served on Laguna Beach resident
Nicholas Daniel Hodgson, 23.
Cleo Street Beach Public intoxication
3:33 p.m. Mark Lane, 50, homeless, was arrested for 647F.
Thursday
Top of the World School Vandalism
10:11 a.m. Graffiti was found on the parking lot.
Coast Hwy - 32000 Block Grand theft
11:14 a.m. A power saw was stolen.
S. Coast Hwy - 100 Block Verbal threats
5:57 p.m. Verbal threats were received from a known suspect.
N. Coast Hwy - 900 Block Warrant arrest
6:45 p.m. Police responded to a motel for a report of two men
involved in a verbal altercation. Laguna Beach resident Felipe
Ruiz, Jr., 46, was taken into custody after wants and warrants
turned up a Redondo Beach Police want for DUI and driving
without a license, Bail; $20,000.
Friday
Cedar Way - 100 Block Drug paraphernalia
8:51 a.m. Leslie Lea Loop, 47, Laguna Beach, was arrested for
possession of drug paraphernalia when police responded to a report
of a disturbance.
Montage Resort & Spa Grand theft
9:54 a.m. A hotel guest reported that a necklace and earrings
valued at $2000 had been taken from her room. She wasn't certain
whether the door had been left locked or unlocked.
Goff Street - 500 Block Burglary, vehicle
2:30 p.m. Someone broke into a 2006 Ford Escape and made off
with a Gucci purse.
S. Coast Hwy - 900 Block Warrant arrest
3:21 p.m. Robert John Shaw, 49, homeless, was arrested for an
outstanding West Court warrant with a charge of petty theft.
Police Station Warrant arrest
3:52 p.m. Jennifer Filipowicz, 42, of Mission Viejo was taken
into custody on a Central Court warrant for DUI and driving on a
license revoked or suspended for reckless driving with $50K bail.
Cliff Drive - 300 Block Public intoxication
4:49 p.m. A homeless man, Robert Huffman, 51, was arrested for
public intoxication.
S. Coast Hwy - 600 Block Grand theft
10:09 p.m. A business reported that a known suspect had taken
$400 in cash some fifteen minutes earlier.
Saturday
Myrtle Street - 300 Block Vandalism
9:47 a.m. Graffiti was discovered in the carport.
Hillcrest Drive - 1400 Block Petty theft
2:27 p.m. The RP's mailbox was stolen.
S. Coast Hwy - 300 Block Traffic arrest
2:31 p.m. Craig Jones, 27, of Bellflower,was arrested for willfully
violating an out of service order issued to him by a police officer.
S. Coast Hwy - 1600 Block Grand theft
3:26 p.m. A GPS system was taken from a parked car overnight.
Dartmoor Street - 300 Block Vandalism, vehicle
4:17 p.m. A window was smashed and the RP's car was keyed.
Sunday
S. Coast Hwy - 300 Block Public intoxication
12:56 a.m. Stacy Overton, 30, Aliso Viejo, was arrested for public
intoxication.
Canyon Acres Drive - 200 Block Warrant arrest
10:07 p.m. A rented Chevy Impala was broken into by someone
who made off with a laptop and cash. Total loss: $2320.
Coast Hwy & Eagle Rock Way Warrant arrest
2:31 a.m. Police responded to a neighbor's call about a possible
fight inside a residence. On scene, police restored the peace and
arrested Corona del Mar resident Paul Joseph Gallucci, 25, for an
outstanding Harbor Court traffic warrant.
