LBHS Student Honored by Governor
Laguna Beach High School student Lauren Thomas was one of 144 top California students to be recognized by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger at the first All- State Academic Team awards dinner in Sacramento on March 11. Students of Laguna College of Art & Design enjoyed a rare experience drawing live animals this week. Cheyenne, a Russian grizzly, and Shirkon, a Siberian tiger, provided by a Hollywood animal trainer, Amazing Animal Productions, struck poses while surrounded by captivated students and faculty. Schools Hold Kindergarten Signup
El Morro and Top of the World elementary schools will both hold kindergarten registration from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, April 16, and parent orientation at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21. Note that a child must be fiveyears old on or before Dec. 2, 2008, in order to register for kindergarten for the 2008-09 school year. Full Story
