Former Laguna Newspaper Publisher Dies
Jerry Ledbetter, who retired as publisher and a co-founder of the old Coastline News in 1999, died last August in Boulder City, Nevada, where he had lived for the past seven years. He was 88. One of his best known and well-respected writers, David Wilson, informed this paper of Ledbetter's passing this week. Details of his death were not available. Full Story

Local Restores the 'L' to Mint Condition
The Laguna "L" got a facelift on a recent Saturday, thanks to the initiative of 26-year-old Derek Ostensen. Ostensen was called to action when he learned that the L that had once gleamed bright white from its prominent hillside had suffered more than the occasional senior pranks. Full Story
