Wednesday

El Bosque - 400 Block Truancy 11:14 a.m. A patrol officerencountered two juvenile girls and escorted them back to the high school office.

Laguna Beach Library Petty theft 3:25 p.m. A business card holder containing a driver's license, a bankcard, a blank check and cash was stolen

Thursday

Coast Hwy & Blue Lagoon DUI, drugs, dangerous weapon ++ 7:37 p.m. A cell caller informed police of a vehicle headed south on Coast Hwy from Laguna Ave being driven "recklessly." An officermade a stop near Blue Lagoon where Michael Clark, 44 of Henderson, NV, was arrested for DUI with a prior arrest. When a search of his vehicle and person turned up methamphetamine, paraphernalia and nunchauks. Clark had charges of felony drug possession and possession of a dangerous weapon along with being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors, added to his resume.

Friday

Catalina Street - 1100 Block Dangerous weapon + 2:47 a.m. Police received a call from a man stating that a known suspect had damaged his car. Before an officerarrived, the RP called again stating that the suspect had threatened him. The RP added that he was approaching the suspect on foot while holding a knife for protection. The brandishing of a deadly weapon is only permissible when one is threatened by another seen deadly weapon. Aydin Ozan, 23, Laguna Beach, was arrested for felony possession of a dangerous weapon with bail set at $20,000. Police also arrested Eric Downey, 22, also of Laguna Beach, for vehicle vandalism and public intoxication.

Crescent Bay Beach Juveniles & alcohol 12:18 p.m. A caller reported that several juveniles on the beach appeared to be smoking marijuana and drinking tequila. On scene, officerscalled for paramedics when one juvenile male was unresponsive due to being "heavily intoxicated." He was treated at the scene and taken to hospital. The other juveniles were taken to the police station for parental pickup.

Agate Street Beach Theft 3:24 p.m. Two purses were taken from beachgoers.

Alta Laguna Blvd - 3100 Block Fraud, ID theft 3:42 p.m. A resident discovered that an unknown person using the RP's personal information had opened credit accounts.

Saturday

Lower Cliff Drive - 200 Block Warrant arrest 12:48 p.m. George Reasons, 56, homeless, was taken into custody on a Harbor Court warrant for FTA public intoxication.

Skyline Drive & Pacific Avenue Vandalism 1:27 p.m. Police were called by a person who had observed juveniles painting the newly refurbished "L" pink. They managed to elude the RP and police.

Albertsons Underground Parking Area Stolen car 9:46 p.m. A black Honda Accord was reported stolen. The owner told police that the car had been parked underground at 3 p.m.

Sunday

Pavilions Parking Lot Domestic violence 1:54 a.m. A woman reported that a male, apparently her spouse, had beaten her in a car and she had been able to get out. She gave police the man's name and vehicle description after officersarrived to check on her condition. Wants and warrants were checked in the man's name and it was determined that he had two outstanding warrants. The victim told police that the suspect would be heading for Corona. Police there were notified and waited for the car at the suspect's residence without success.

The Stand Burglary, commercial 6:17 a.m. An employee arriving at work found a wide open rear door and could see that the side door had been tampered with. Police cleared the interior and determined that a burglary had been committed. Losses were not immediately determined.

Monday

Glenneyre - 800 Block Burglary, residential 12:57 p.m. The resident of an off street apartment returned home to findan open front door. $1100 in cash was missing.

Police Station Probation violation 1:04 p.m. Police interviewed a Laguna Beach man on probation and contacted his probation officerper protocol. The officerordered police to hold William Moldenhauer, 26, without bail for violation of his probation.
