    Editor: I am a longtime employee of South Coast Medical Center Maternity Center. After reading your article [4/11] about the maternity unit closing, I thought you should know that Mr. Christian is not correct when he stated, "all have been lined up with job offers elsewhere or at other facilities".     Editor: I am writing to protest and respond to the announcement made by Mr. Bruce Christian, President and CEO of Adventist Health South Coast Medical Center regarding that the only hospital in Laguna Beach will no longer be caring for women and their families experiencing childbirth. An 18 year old's take on downloading

    Editor: Re: Say No to Downloads [guest column 4-11]. Now, Mr. Otto must be mistaken. Saying something as outrageous as, "The free downloading and copying of music is similar to drug addition." is seriously insane. [Tooting your own horn 3-28] I think you are taking things way out of hand by saying he was infringing on your right to express your feeling about the war. It's summertime and your trolley is good looking.

    Editors: Summertime brings the free trolleys and blue and white buses. Laguna is one of the most dangerous places to ride a bicycle. Our children use the summer trolleys by the hundreds every day to meet friends at various beaches, parks, homes and other destinations, and to take visiting friends with them. Full Story

    Editor: I was talking to a Democrat friend who expressed concerns about the world we will leave to grandchildren, very concerned about greenhouse gas emissions and global warming. I said that nuclear power emitted zero greenhouse gases. The response was that nuclear power was even more frightening. Full Story
