Joey Buttafuoco made headlines in 1992 when his underage mistress, nicknamed "Long Island Lolita," shot his wife at the couple's New York home. Amy Fisher was convicted and served seven years in prison; Buttafuoco was not implicated.

Buttafuoco, in town for business, confronted a man riflingthe saddlebags of his motorcycle at 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 11. He had parked his bike in the 300 block of Thalia Street, according to police.

Buttafuoco confronted the man and a female companion. "A physical confrontation ensued as the victim tried to hold [the suspect] until police arrived," said LBPD Sgt. Jason Kravetz. The pair managed to get away but were later contacted by an officernearby. "They both denied doing anything," Kravetz added.

Police said the physical actions of both Sol Langlois Risley, 31, of Laguna Beach and Bethany Ann Lackey, 33, of Aliso Viejo, gave the officerreason to believe they were under the influence of drugs. They were detained under suspicion of that charge.

Police searched Risley's parked car and found a counterfeit $50 bill inside.

Police said Buttafuoco retrieved a jacket and a pair of sunglasses that were removed from a side motorcycle bag.

Risley and Lackey were both arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance and Risley faces charges of being in possession of counterfeit money. Additional charges may be filed pending a further investigation.
