Last Thursday, a 20-year-old Laguna Beach skateboarder whooshing downhill on Glenneyre Street blew through a downtown intersection to hit a bump, fall from his board, and suffer a serious head injury. Three possible approaches to teaching foreign language to elementary-age students were presented to the school board Tuesday by a research committee of teachers and administrators. Letter to the editor: I have been called to take up a cause by a stroke of the serendipitous brush. Last Thursday I was driving up Glenneyre next to the library, and a young man and I met under horrifying circumstances.
