Monday

Ocean Avenue - 200 Block Public Intoxication 2:06 a.m. Jorge Ochoa Estrada, 40, Los Angeles, was arrested for public intoxication.

Weymouth Place - 300 Block Burglary, Residential 10:06 a.m. A contractor reported that suspects entered a home in the process of being remodeled over the weekend. Installed copper tubing was pulled from the inside walls and ceilings. The loss was estimated to be more than $8,000.

Various Locations Vandalism 11:15 a.m. City workers reported the discovery of numerous parking meters that had been damaged as far north as Cliff Drive and south to the area near Montage Resort Drive.

Tuesday

Coast Hwy & Vista Del Sol Under the Influence + 3:04 a.m. Massachusetts resident Michael Anthony Foote, 43, was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a glass meth pipe.

Broadway - 500 Block Burglary, Commercial 9:48 a.m. Suspect(s) forced open doors to a business to gain entry. The owner listed losses of about $2K including musical and computer equipment.

Police Station Fraud; ID Theft 10:25 a.m. A man came to the police station to report that he suspected a former employer of using his name to open and use a credit account.

Glenneyre - 300 Block Grand Theft 12:56 p.m. A business discovered cash in the amount of $1,000 and a $100 check missing after firing an employee.

Forest Avenue - 300 Block Public Intoxication 3:03 p.m. Melvin Moss, 53, no fixed address, was taken into custody for public intoxication after a retailer called police to report a man causing a disturbance.

Jasmine Street - 400 Block Peeping 6:52 p.m. A woman said a named suspect had been hanging around outside of her residence and "peeping" at her.

Cress Street - 300 Block Juveniles 9:11 p.m. A car stop led to four juveniles receiving citations for various offenses before being released to their parents. Three girls from Laguna Beach (all 16) were cited to appear in court on charges of minor in possession of alcohol and minor in possession of tobacco products. The boy behind the wheel, 17, from Dana Point, was also cited for the tobacco charge and a minor operating a vehicle while being impaired by alcohol.

Wednesday

Forest Avenue - 200 Block Embezzlement 11:33 a.m. A business reported that a recently terminated employee appears to have embezzled cash.

Laguna Beach High School Theft 12:56 p.m. A female LBHS student's father called police advising that another student, also female, had stolen a credit card from his daughter's backpack at school. He also said that when he'd called the card issuer, he was informed that the card had just been used at The Stand. The eatery described the girl who had made the charge. Police learned the suspect's identity and after speaking with the family, the 15-year-old was brought to the police station.

Three Arch Bay (N. Alta Mira) Burglary, residential 2:09 p.m. An antique rocking chair, described by the RP as a family heirloom, was taken from the garage.

Holly Street - 400 Block Fraud; ID Theft 6:44 p.m. The RP's personal information was used by an unknown person to open and make purchases on credit accounts.

Thursday

Forest Avenue - 300 Block Burglary, commercial 2:49 a.m. A security company informed police that the sound of breaking glass had been heard when an alarm was activated. On scene, officersfound a window smashed in what appeared to be a "smash-and-grab" from a window display. The owner arrived and it was determined a watch valued at $700 was missing.

Pavilions Market Warrants 10:47 a.m. Celso Juan Sanchez, 37, Orange, was arrested for two warrants during a routine traffic stop. Both, from Central and North Court, had charges of DUI and driving without a license.

Forest Avenue - 200 Block Warrants 12:14 p.m. A disturbance call led to the arrest of Santa Barbara resident Jake Phillips, 22, on two warrants for minor in possession of alcohol in public.

Bluff Drive - 31500 Block Burglary, vehicle 2:30 p.m. Miscellaneous items were taken when someone broke into the RP's car.

Three Arch Bay (S. Alta Mira) Fraud; ID Theft 3:54 p.m. A credit card was opened in the RP's name.

N. Coast Hwy - 100 Block Public intoxication 6:11 p.m. Charles Neil, 44, no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication.

Friday

S. Coast Hwy - 1100 Block Public Intoxication 1:37 a.m. Laguna Beach resident Kelly Brooks, 22, was arrested for public intoxication.

Thalia Street - 300 Block Warrant Arrest 11:18 a.m. Terry Lee Baldwin, 57, Laguna Beach, was taken into custody for an unspecified warrant.

N. Coast Hwy - 500 Block Grand Theft 11:32 a.m. A car cover and a package delivered by UPS were taken. The RP estimates the loss at $1100.

S. Coast Hwy - 1200 Block Defrauding an Innkeeper 3:08 p.m. A taxicab drive is an "innkeeper" under the penal code. Legal education out of the way, a cab driver drove a fare to a hotel and when the fare's credit card was declined, the two made an arrangement to settle the following day. When the cabbie went to the hotel, the man had already checked out.

Laguna Canyon Road - 1100 Block Public Intoxication 9:45 p.m. Ronald Ronneburger, 52, was arrested for 647F.

Saturday

Broadway - 200 Block Warrant Arrest 11:34 a.m. Curtis Abbott, 43, no fixed address, was arrested on an outstanding Harbor Court warrant for public intoxication.

N. Coast Hwy - 1400 Block Felony Warrant Arrest 3:28 p.m. Stacy Lynne Allen, 45, no fixed address, was taken into custody for a Central Court no bail burglary warrant.

Laguna Canyon Road - 1100 Block Burglary, residential 9:10 p.m. A woman returned home to findthat a door had been removed and various personal items had been "staged" inside.

Coast Hwy & Montage Resort Drive Warrant Arrest 10:51 p.m. Joshua David McDowell, 20, Dana Point, was arrested for an unspecified traffic warrant during a traffic stop.

Sunday

S. Coast Hwy & Ocean Avenue Warrant arrest 12:44 a.m. Two motorcycles were pulled over. One rider was arrested for DUI (see above). The other, Larry Mark Lyster, 48, of San Clemente, went to jail for a Harbor Court warrant with a charge of fighting in public.

N. Coast Hwy - 400 Block Violation of a Court Order 9:14 a.m. The owner of a business called police reporting that a woman who had been served a court order restraining her from being anywhere near the business was outside. Officerswent there and arrested Frances Loretta Merlo, 58, Laguna Beach, for violating a court protection order with $15,000 bail.

Forest Avenue - 200 Block Public Intoxication 7:12 p.m. Charles Neil, still 44, was arrested for 647F.

S. Coast Hwy - 300 Block Battery 11 p.m. A doorman at the White House reported that a patron dissatisfied with the need to pay a cover charge had pulled off his glasses and thrown them into the street. The suspect and another man were last seen (the log didn't specify if the sighting was by the doorman) running up Coast Highway onto Park Ave.

S. Coast Hwy - 1200 Block Grand Theft 11:10 p.m. A woman reported that her wallet had been stolen off the table as she dined.
