Film Gives Voice to Those Little Heard
Join JOY Ministry (Justice Outreach and You) at Neighborhood Congregational Church, 340 St. Ann's Drive, on June 13 at 7 p.m. for a combination of film, poetry, dance, and conversation, as they screen "Voices in Wartime."
From Babylonia and Troy to the conflictsof the 20th century, war has inspired poetry.
"Voices in Wartime" uses the words of poets from around the world to reflecton the experiences of war and its effects on soldiers, civilians, and societies.
Special guests John Gardiner, the Laguna poet, and songwriterstoryteller, Mark Turnbull, will guide the evening.
