Artist Held at the Gate a Second Time
The gate artist Jon Seeman designed for Bluebird Park seemed in danger of slamming shut on him this week. Yet after much testimony by the public and arts commissioners, who unanimously recommended Seeman's whimsical gate, the City Council also voted 4-1 to approve the installation contingent upon an expert's evaluation and approval that it meets safety standards. Gallery Raises Funds for China's Quake Victims
Join the Mandarin Fine Art Gallery on July 12 to raise funds to help those affected by the earthquake that took place in Sichuan China in May. All proceeds will go to the Red Cross International Relief Fund for Sichuan Earthquake. Mandarin Fine Art Gallery will also donate part of its sales proceeds on the event night to the same fund.
