Gay Bar's Legacy Lives on in Film
Film festival screening, July 15
The world premier of John Keitel's documentary, "Saving the Boom," will be held at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, at Outfest, the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. The 32-minute film documents the as yet still unsuccessful campaign to save the oldest gay bar in the western United States, Laguna Beach's Boom Boom Room, which closed last September. Full Story
