Defense Studio Takes Aim at a Killer
The United Studios of Self Defense (USSD) is organizing a team to participate in the upcoming Relay for Life Laguna Beach event to be held on Aug. 22 and 23 to help raise money for the American Cancer Society. Local Student Excels at School
Emily Katharine Kiraly, a senior at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa., has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2008 semester. A graduate of Laguna Beach High School, she is the daughter of Sherwood and Patti Jo Kiraly. Full Story
Making a Splash at Diving Event
On June 29 at the Lee Brennan Memorial dive meet, Laguna Beach resident Mackenzie Peasley won first place in the Junior Olympic one-meter 9 and under event. She achieved her highest score to date of 110.75. Her coach, Ila Wilson, said "She has put her heart and soul into diving. She worked hard and earned this win! Full Story
