Feds law re: lasers and aircraft is absurd
Editor: I am a retired scientist who has worked with lasers since they were invented by a college classmate, Gordon Gould, in 1958. It is hilarious to read about the paranoia pilots have when a harmless laser beam is aimed in their direction. Even though it is harmless, the FAA had a law passed making it illegal to point any laser pointer at an aircraft. Full Story

Making a Splash at Diving Event
On June 29 at the Lee Brennan Memorial dive meet, Laguna Beach resident Mackenzie Peasley won first place in the Junior Olympic one-meter 9 and under event.
