Cyclists Invited to Help Improve Local Bikeways
With more than 800 miles of bikeways in Orange County, planners are looking to the public for feedback on ways to improve the network.
The public is invited to attend a workshop from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. July 12 at OCTA headquarters, 600 S. Main Street, in Orange, to describe the planning process and gather ideas from residents on the OCTA bikeway plan.
The strategic plan was developed in 1995 to create a comprehensive blueprint of existing bikeways in the county and propose new facilities to complete the network.
Cities that adopt the updated plan are eligible for state funding.
OCTA also uses the plan as a reference for reviewing other transit and freeway projects.
