    Editor: I cannot fathom how any person connected with design approvals, remodels, etc., can have the nerve to utter the term ìmaintain the village atmosphereî while at the same time approving the disgrace to Eiler Inn, one of Lagunaís most charming storefronts. Citation Dismissed

    Editor: Thank you for posting my declaration [7/11] in support of dismissal of LBMC citation for riding skateboards on Main Beach by my 3 and 4-year-old boys, when in fact; they were riding only scooters, as an apparent vindictive use of the citation book. Full Story
A kayak concession? No way!

    Editor: In his letter in the July 11 edition, Dennis Myers contends that The Athens Group is an upstanding citizen that contributes to the quality of life in Laguna. Then why did Athens take advantage of a naive Council Majority with a contract that cost Laguna $7 million extra for the park when we should have gotten it for free? Full Story

    Editor: In 2003 a water-wise garden was completed in front of the Laguna Beach Water District as a demonstration that great landscaping is achievable easily and with a low impact on the environment.     Editor: I took the northbound trolley to the new Heisler Park. Walking south off Divers Cove you could see a group of junior guards swimming with staff from our Marine Safety Dept.
