Thaddeus C. Jones
Born in Pasadena, Calif., on March 25, 1924, Thaddeus C. Jones, M.D., died on July 16. He practiced medicine in Laguna Beach for over 50 years. Jones attended Polytechnic School in Pasadena, the Catalina Island School for Boys and Princeton University. In 1942, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in the South Pacific aboard the destroyer, U.S.S. Massey. Full Story
Brian Hogan
Brian Hogan, former Laguna Beach resident and graduate of Laguna Beach High School, died on July 9 of a melanoma liver cancer that was diagnosed in May. He was 38. Over 500 people attended a memorial for Hogan in Mission Viejo on July 14. He is survived by his wife Anna, his brother Tim and his parents Jim and Judy Hogan. Full Story
Erna Juptner
Erna Juptner, a long time Laguna Beach resident, passed away on July 16. She was 77. Juptner was born and raised in Munich, Germany. After working at a popular national magazine, she married her husband, Bill, and they moved to Chicago in 1954. Full Story
