Second Harvest Nurtures Out of School Kids
Since mid-June, the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County's 29-city Kids Cafe program has been providing 3,000 children with breakfasts, lunches, and snacks, and will continue to do so all summer long. Full Story
Extravaganza for Wanna-be Pet Owners
The Irvine Animal Care Center will host its second annual "Orange County Super Adoption Event" from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 27. In addition to several hundred of the center's own rescued pets, more than 30 pet rescue groups, including the Laguna Beach Animal Shelter, will bring over 400 homeless dogs and cats to the event, which all need owners. Rotary and Boy Scouts Share 100 Years of Partnership in Service
Luncheon talk Aug. 1
Lane Calvert, exploring director of the Orange County Council of Boy Scouts of America, will explore the 100-year history shared by Rotary and the Boy Scouts when he addresses the next luncheon meeting of the Laguna Beach Rotary Club on Friday, Aug. 1.
