Monday - July 21
S. Coast Hwy - 500 Block Annoying Calls 5:15 p.m. A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend has been making harassing phone calls and sending annoying texts to her.
Blue Lagoon Grand Theft 6:20 p.m. Two unlocked vehicles were victimized overnight. An iPod, a camera and smaller items were taken from one.
Tuesday - July 22
Hillcrest Drive & San Joaquin Street Gunshots 12:02 a.m. Officers were unable to locate the source of gunshots that were heard by at least three folks that called 9-1-1.
Cliff Drive - 600 Block Warrant Arrest 11:50 a.m. Angel Angelordaz, 35, Lake Forest, was taken into custody for an outstanding South Court traffic warrant.
Alta Laguna Park Grand Theft Noon. A Canon camera valued at $1400 was taken while the RP was skateboarding.
Forest Avenue - 300 Block Shoplifting 1:43 p.m. A 16-year-old girl from Laguna Niguel was detained by a boutique after she allegedly tried to take a hat priced ay $30. She was taken to the police station and released to her mother.
San Tropez Court - 100 Block Vandalism, vehicle 3:49 p.m. A motorcycle was knocked over and a nail was shoved into a tire. The RP provided the name of a juvenile suspect.
Thalia Street Beach Petty Theft 5:20 p.m. A skimboard was stolen.
Wednesday - July 23
Ocean Avenue - 200 Block Fake ID 1:21 a.m. Police responded to a report of a disturbance in the rear of Wells Fargo and a possible fight involving several males who had left a nearby bar. Order was quickly restored and as cops interviewed six males, one was arrested. Sean Chiodini, 20, of Laguna Niguel was held on charges of using a fake driver's license to get into a bar.
Thousand Steps Beach Juvenile Arrest 3:03 a.m. A patrol officer who had locked the access gate to the beach earlier stopped and detained a male and a female he'd seen heading down the stairs to let them know the beach was closed. The officer saw the female attempt to hide her bag and learned that she was 17 and from Long Beach. Her male companion was 41. In so far as she was violating curfew, the officer called for backup and searched the pair. The man had nothing illegal on his person but the girl's bag had two syringes and a spoon that had been burned along with what police described as a "large" knife. She was taken to the police station and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and a dangerous weapon and later released to a parent. Her companion was released.
S. Coast Hwy - 1000 Block Petty Theft 6:24 a.m. A purse containing a passport and wallet were taken out of an unlocked vehicle overnight.
Glenneyre- 800 Bl & S. Coast Hwy- 1400 Bl Burglary, vehicles 6:49 a.m. A 2008 black BMW had $2000 in various items taken from it overnight on Glenneyre. A Hummer and a Jaguar also were entered on S. Coast Hwy. Windows were smashed for entry. A similar report was made on Gaviota Drive.
Manzanita Drive - 800 Block Grand Theft 9:51 a.m. A FedEx delivery left on the front porch disappeared prior to the resident's return home. The package contained a pair of excellent tickets to the John Mayer concert for which the resident had paid $989.
Gaviota Drive - 1100 Block Stolen Vehicle 12:16 p.m. A green Ford Explorer was stolen at some point after 1 p.m. Tuesday. The RP called police on Saturday evening when the Explorer was seen parked in a South Laguna lot.
Glenneyre - 800 Block Petty Theft 5:03 p.m. A wallet was taken from an unlocked vehicle.
Main Beach Grand Theft 5:30 p.m. A laptop was stolen from the beach. Two hours later, another RP had a ring and a bag taken. In both instances, the items were taken as the owners went for a swim.
Thursday - July 24
Agate Street - 400 Block Public Intoxication 12:23 a.m. Laguna Hills resident Kimberly Childress, 32, was arrested for public intoxication.
N. Coast Hwy - 400 Block Vandalism 10:18 a.m. The front window of a business was tagged.
N. Coast Hwy - 1200 Block Burglary, vehicle 10:36 a.m. A silver Mercedes was broken into overnight.
Chillon Way - 2800 Block Grand Theft 4:15 p.m. An unlocked Ford pickup was entered and someone made off with a GPS system, binoculars and vehicle papers.
Laguna Canyon Road - 2900 Block Battery 6:12 p.m. As two carloads of juvenile males (unknown to each other) headed into town, a passenger in one threw a water bottle at the other eliciting a similar response. When the two vehicles stopped in traffic, the passenger from the first car got out and punched the passenger in the other car several times in the head. The suspect jumped back into the first car and it sped away. Police responded and took a battery report. The first car wasn't located.
Beach Street & Ocean Avenue Public Intoxication 8:56 p.m. James Alton Mozer, 60, no fixed address, was arrested for public intoxication.
Friday - July 25
Laguna Canyon Road - 700 Block Vandalism 1:38 p.m. A wall was tagged with graffiti.
Laguna Canyon Road - 700 Block Warrant Arrest 4:35 p.m. Wants and warrants checked during a traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Aliso Viejo resident Daniel Roque, 21, for a South Court traffic warrant with bail of $10,000.
S. Coast Hwy - 700 Block Vandalism 6:46 p.m. A wall was tagged with graffiti.
S. Coast Hwy - 2000 Block Grand Theft 7:55 p.m. Two purses were missing from the trunk of a car that had been valet parked earlier.
Cliff Drive - 1000 Block Drug Arrest 11:31 p.m. James Thomas Rhodes, 19, of Buena Park, was arrested for felony possession of "shrooms" (psilocybin mushrooms).
Saturday - July 26
Legion Street & Through Street Public Intoxication 12:15 a.m. Monterey resident Gary Bartram, 57, was taken into custody for public intoxication.
Glenneyre - 1400 Block Public Intoxication + 2:51 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a man passed out on the sidewalk and arrested Emilio Acevedo Inda, 30, for public intoxication. LiveScan returned information seven hours later that he was sought on immigration charges. He was turned over to the Border Patrol.
Ocean Avenue - 200 Block Warrant Arrest 2:16 p.m. Christian Medina, 38, Mission Viejo, was arrested for an outstanding traffic warrant from Harbor Court with $15,000 bail.
S. Coast Hwy - 1300 Block Public Intoxication 3:03 p.m. San Dimas resident Zandra Nereida Albiez, 30, was arrested for public intoxication.
Glenneyre - 1500 Block Burglary, residential 7:10 p.m. An Anaheim man brought along a collection of precious stones while house sitting here. He had been organizing them for a time when he decided to go for a walk. When he returned, the gems, valued at $16,000, were gone. Police said there was no sign of forced entry.
Sunday - July 27
Cliff Drive - 100 Block Burglary, vehicle 12:05 a.m. The manager of an apartment building detained two men after finding them rummaging around inside of a resident's GMC Tahoe. Police responded and arrested Laguna Niguel residents Joseph Kenneth Scholefield, 19, and David Jackson Milstead, 18, for felony vehicle burglary and conspiracy.
S. Coast Hwy - 300 Block Public Intoxication 10:40 p.m. James Mozer, 60, was arrested for public intoxication.
