Art Appreciation

A Smart Car will be the grand prize at the opportunity drawing for South Coast Medical Center Foundation's 26th annual charity auction and gala. Tickets are $100 each, or $500 for six. The Casa Laguna Inn & Spa replaced all of its bedding and spa linens with those made from 100% bamboo. This change is the latest in a series of steps the hotel ownership has taken to become a more eco-friendly business. Store Cycles to Stop AIDS
Laguna Drug participated in AIDS LifeCycle7, a recent seven day bicycle ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Michelle Sherman, the HIV specialist pharmacist at Laguna Drug and vice chair of the city's HIV advisory committee, and David Olsen, vice president of pharmacy for Quality Drug, both participated in the event as a roadie and rider, respectively. The Laguna Beach United Methodist Church will hold a yard sale on Aug. 2 from 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. Furniture, appliances, home decor items, artwork, jewelry, more will be sold.
