Green Thumb Volunteers Sought for AIDS Memorial
Clean up, Aug. 9
Volunteers are being sought to help clean up the Garden of Peace and Love from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday, Aug. 9. Volunteers should meet on the beach access steps at Mountain Road, 1400 S. Coast Highway. A memorial to AIDS victims, the garden has been faithfully tended by Michele Martinay for the past two decades, according to local resident Roger Carter. Full Story
