Wade Stackhouse

Wade Stackhouse, 68, of Laguna Beach, passed away on Aug. 18 after an extended illness.

Stackhouse was born June 14, 1940, in Atlanta, Ga., the son of Wade H. Stackhouse and Avis Davis Stackhouse.

Stackhouse was formerly a marketing manager for Conagra and lived at various times in New York, Mexico City, Sydney, Australia, Seattle, Taos, N.M., and Whittier before moving to Laguna Beach in 2001.

Stackhouse traveled the world extensively and enjoyed many friendships worldwide. He was known by his family, friends and business associates to be a generous, friendly and loyal person.

He is survived by friend and partner, Millard Burgess; cousins Sylvia, Marcus and Jim Stackhouse and Nancy Nunn Mozingo; as well as many friends.

An open house honoring Stackhouse's life will be held at his home at 403 El Bosque, in Laguna Beach, on Friday, Aug. 22 from 1- 4 p.m.

Burial will be in Turlock, Calif.
