Election time in Laguna

Editor:

Nice to see Egly and Co. all want to be our friends again, now that it's election time...

Here's my plan:

1) No Village Entrance. We've got one-it's called Laguna Canyon Road. We've wasted too much time and money on 'fluff' as it is.

2) No building at Aliso Creek. None. Period.

3) We (the city) clean up Aliso Creek. This is something worth spending money on!

4) Support our Lifeguards with staff, compensation, and give them the headquarters they need!

5) Stop wasting further time and money on 'traffic studies' and get real. Unless we tear it all down and start over, it is what it is. Let's concentrate instead on making it more enjoyable for tourists once they get here, and more practical for residents year round. (This requires more space than a letter allows, as do my ideas for parking/traffic).

6) Repeal the sales tax for Bluebird restoration immediately.

7) Honestly work to create affordable housing from within.

8) No new mansions, no new hotels, no new building-zip. Create a clear, defined, and lasting set of codes, streamline the DRB and make it uniform and fair to all.

9) Make sure no matter what the issue, the citizens of Laguna Beach and our interests are first and foremost.

10) Enforce laws that make sense and can be realistically enforced. Get rid of those that don't and can't be.

11) The Pacific Ocean and our Quality of Life are paramount.

12 Do whatever it takes to save South Coast Medical Center.

13) Ditto the Indy!

14) Figure out a way to get it back to just one Starbucks.

Elect me! (And Pribram, too).
