Vote by Mail - your vote will be counted first

Editor:

This is a quote from the Orange County Registrar of Voters website: "Last Friday we operated a mock polling place and ran through staff to study the time it took to process voters and vote in a simulated high-turnout precinct. Through our observations we learned that for November the average time from entering the line to check in, vote and exit was 23 minutes."

I highly value the right to vote for all Americans so I would encourage everyone, regardless of party, for whom 23 minutes seems like a long time; or who fear they may have a senior moment and forget; and/or who, wisely, don't trust electronic voting machines to function properly: Vote by Mail: It is easy, fast, and you know there is a paper trail. As an added benefit, your vote is now counted first rather than last.

PS. Remember those guys left their farms to fight barefoot in the snow at Valley Forge and the women who endured incarceration and force feedings so you would be free to vote. Last day to register to vote is October 20 this year.
