Broadway - 300 Block Petty Theft 3:36 p.m. Money was taken out of a briefcase. S. Coast Hwy - 1200 Block Public Intoxication 11:39 p.m. Police were called by a person concerned about a man who had been sitting on a bench for two hours. On scene, Ian Keegan, 47, Costa Mesa was arrested for public intoxication. Tuesday - October 14 N. Coast Hwy - 600 Block Public Intoxication 10:45 a.m. Robert Shaw, 50, no fixed address, was arrested for public intoxication after he was found sleeping in a planter box. Thurston School Battery 10:46 a.m. Police were called by school administrators after a boy stabbed another boy twice in the forearm with a pencil causing two puncture wounds. Laguna Beach High School Drugs 2:08 p.m. A high school girl was taken into custody for possession of marijuana for sales, a felony, after school officials detained her. She was taken to the police station for booking and released to the custody of a parent. Wildwood Road - 31500 Block Fraud; Grand Theft 2:12 p.m. Credit card and ATM charges amounting to $3500 were made by someone using the RP's debit card. Wednesday - October 15 S. Coast Hwy - 400 Block Embezzlement 10:30 a.m. A business owner called police after discovering a large amount of money missing after an audit. Police are investigating a loss in excess of $75,000. Virginia Way - 31900 Block Petty Theft 11:16 a.m. Two garden hoses were taken over two nights. N. Coast Hwy - 300 Block Forgery; Grand Theft 12:03 p.m. A check written by the RP was duplicated and some were cashed. The loss is approximately $900. S. Coast Hwy - 1100 Block Vandalism 12:56 p.m. Storefront glass was keyed. N. Coast Hwy - 100 Block Petty Theft; Parole Hold 3:35 p.m. An employee at the Mobil Station reported that a man had presented a credit card that was denied to pay for a pack of cigarettes. When the man was informed of the denial, he allegedly grabbed the cigarettes and told the employee, "Call the police…" before running. Police located Milos Peter Dobrasinovic, 36 of Emerald Hills on the Main Beach boardwalk. He had the missing pack of Pall Malls in his shirt pocket. When police learned he was a parolee and contacted his parole officer, he was ordered to be held without bail for parole violation. Thursday - October 16 Broadway Bus Depot Public Intoxication 3:40 p.m. Gualterio Montes de Oca, 37, no fixed address, was taken into custody for public intoxication after officers responded to a disturbance call. Broadway - 200 Block Public Intoxication x 2; Warrants 6:31 p.m. Mario Partida, 47, Chino and Mugur Stoenescu, 43, Mission Viejo, were both arrested for 647F. Stoenescu was also held on four alcohol-related warrants with total bail of $30,000. Friday - October 17 Chillon Way - 2800 Block Fraud 10:01 a.m. The RP made an online sale and received a fraudulent check as payment. Cress Street - 400 Block Parolee Warrant 3:30 p.m. A California parole officer requested LBPD assistance to serve a no bail parole violation warrant. Laguna Beach resident Ryan Stempfel Jax, 26, was taken into custody without incident. Park Avenue - 300 Block Drugs 5:06 p.m. A passerby reported seeing a male and a female sitting on the rear bumper of a parker SUV and smoking pot. On scene, police issued a cite to the male driver of the SUV for possession of under an ounce of marijuana. The female, Lake Forest resident Debra Lee Stanley, 38, fared worse. She was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine. Saturday - October 18 S. Coast Hwy & Ocean Avenue Carrying a Concealed Weapon 1:14 a.m. After door security escorted Brea resident Curtis Allen Dale, Jr. outside for creating a disturbance inside, Dale allegedly pulled a knife but made no direct threats. Police were called and Dale was located a bloc away. In the bushes nearby, an officer found Dale's knife and he was arrested for a carrying a concealed weapon, a felony. S. Coast Hwy & Forest Avenue Traffic Arrest + 2:25 p.m. A car stop was made in the downtown area after an officer observed several traffic violations. Once stopped, the officer saw unspecified drug paraphernalia. Ronald Sherman Caldwell, 34, was arrested for speeding, following too close, unsafe lane change and possession of drug paraphernalia. Glenneyre - 1100 Block Petty Theft 2:58 p.m. A picture frame was taken. El Moro Park Grand Theft 3:53 p.m. $1300 in cash was taken from a parked car. The RP was unsure if it had been left locked or unlocked. Sunday - October 12 S. Coast Hwy & Oak Street Public Intoxication 3:30 a.m. Laguna Hills resident Kristopher Paul Lockwood, 24, was arrested for public intoxication. Coast Hwy & 10th Avenue Warrant Arrest 9:54 a.m. Brandon Boone, 22, Mission Viejo, was taken into custody for a Harbor Court Laguna Hills traffic warrant. Diamond Street & Gainsborough Drive Juvenile Contact 10:04 a.m. Police received a call from a resident who said he had observed a boy trying to break into a city-owner construction trailer. Officers made contact with a 14-year-old from Costa Mesa who said he'd been looking through the trailer's windows but had not tried to get inside. He was taken into custody after police found less than an ounce of marijuana in his possession. He was taken to the police station and held for parental pickup. Broadway - 300 Block Felony Warrant Arrest 2:44 p.m. A traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Nestor Plata, 23, of Long Beach for a pair of outstanding warrants. The first was a no bail warrant for with felony charges of possession of cocaine base for sales and transportation of cocaine base for sales. Ruby Street Park Warrants 4:06 p.m. Anaheim resident Edward Castro, 22, was taken into custody for two warrants: a North Court felony warrant with a charge of burglary and a Central Court felony warrant with charges of witness tampering, threats of great bodily harm and verbal threats by telephone. He was booked and taken to county jail.
