Neighbors Plan Against Disaster
Neighborhood Watch is organizing a Community Disaster Preparedness Drill at 2:30 and 6 p.m. on Nov. 8 at City Hall. Church Offers Talk on Mideast
Elye Pitts will talk on "Creative Engagement with the Arab World" at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Laguna Beach on Oct. 26. The lecture is based on his graduate work at Stanford University. A Laguna Beach-based nonprofit management and economic development consultant, Pitts has also taught at the university level. Docent Program Hunts for Ocean Lovers
The Laguna Ocean Foundation's tidewater docent program is looking for new volunteers. To qualify as a docent, volunteers must attend one formal training session of approximately two hours and accompany a veteran docent for one on the job training at the tide pools. Full Story

Children and grown ups enjoyed tractor rides (pictured), the petting zoo, picking vegetables, running through a corn maze, and harvesting pumpkins from the vine.
