Monday - November 10

Agate Street - 200 Block ID Theft 11:45 a.m. Someone used the RP's social security number for employment/IRS purposes.

Sandpiper Drive - 700 Block Verbal Threats 12:10 p.m. A named suspect made threatening phone calls.

Cozumel - 200 Block Credit Card Fraud 3:46 p.m. An unknown person used the RP's credit card.

N. Coast Hwy & Beverly Street Weapons Arrest 6:18 p.m. An officer made contact with Aliso Viejo resident Brett Christopher Bonholzer, 27, after he was observed "…doing exercises and waving at vehicles…" in the middle of Coast Hwy. He was arrested for being under the influence of methamphetamine and when searched, a military-type slingshot was found. That led to a charge of possession of a concealed weapon.

Marine Drive - 1100 Block Juvenile & Alcohol 9:18 p.m. A neighbor's complaint about a loud party resulted in the arrest of a 17-year-old Laguna Beach boy for possession of alcohol in public. He was released at the scene to his parents.

Tuesday - November 11

Ocean Way - 1800 Block Illegal Dumping; Vandalism 6:18 a.m. While someone dumped paint into a dumpster rented by the RP, some was spilled onto the driveway.

Coast Hwy & Broadway Assault & Battery 2:39 p.m. Police responded to a report of a fight between two men. After restoring order, one combatant was arrested. Chastain Carson, 36, no fixed address, was charged with assault and battery.

Broadway - 200 Block Felony Warrant + 7:50 p.m. Robert John Shaw, 49, and Mark John Lane, 51, both homeless, were arrested after a business complained about the pair sleeping in the alleyway. Mr. Shaw was held for three West Court warrants - one with a felony charge of grand theft and Mr. Lane was arrested for public intoxication.

Wednesday - November 12

South Coast Medical Center ER Public Intoxication 2:13 a.m. Emergency room personnel at South Coast reported that an intoxicated male was causing a disturbance. On scene, Hunter Lee Poller, 21, Laguna Beach, was arrested for public intoxication.

Miramar Street - 1000 Block Verbal Threats 8:44 p.m. The RP's ex made telephonic threats of bodily harm.

Thursday - November 13

Three Arch Bay (S. Stonington) Grand Theft 8:59 a.m. Two rings valued at $2000 were missing from the home. The RP provided police with a named suspect.

Broadway - 200 Block Warrant Arrest 2:01 p.m. Dillon Bolton, 53, no fixed address, was arrested on a Harbor Court warrant for failing to appear on a written promise.

Skyline Drive - 1100 Block Violation of a Court Order 4:44 p.m. Jack K. Starkey, 25, was taken into custody for violating a court restraining order.

N. Coast Hwy & Beverly Street Drugs 5:57 p.m. A routine traffic stop of a 2004 Nissan Maxima turned out to be far more. Suspicious actions by both the driver and his passenger led to a search of the car by a drug-sniffing dog from Irvine PD. According to police, the dog immediately pulled a bag of marijuana from beneath the front seat. The canine also helped find methamphetamine, cocaine and more marijuana inside the Nissan. The driver and passenger were both arrested. Jose Luis Leon, 30, Santa Ana, the passenger, was charged with transporting for sales of a narcotic, possession of marijuana for sales and transporting a controlled substance. Leon was later ordered to be held by immigration The driver, Francisco Rafael Lopez-Orozco, 25, also of Santa Ana, was charged with false personation after giving police a different name, carrying ammunition (he is on probation), transporting a controlled substance, possession for sales of narcotics, possession for sales of marijuana, transporting a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

Myrtle Street - 300 Block Warrant Arrest 8:45 a.m. Laguna Beach resident Scott Thomas Landmon, 48, was arrested on an outstanding Harbor Court warrant with charges of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ensenada Avenue - 1200 Block Burglary 12:30 p.m. Overnight, someone entered an open garage and took items from a locked car.

Ralphs Market Burglary, commercial 4:59 p.m. An 18-year-old Laguna Beach male grabbed a 12-pack of Corona beer and ran out of Ralphs. Employees were able to detain him until police arrived. After an interview determined that the suspect did not have any means to pay for the beer, Trenton Miller Robison was charged with felony commercial burglary.

Sunday - November 16

Laguna Canyon Rd & Dog Park Warrant Arrest 3:48 a.m. Wants and warrants checked during a traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Juan Martin Hernandez, 47, Santa Ana, for an outstanding traffic warrant.

Catalina Street - 2100 Block Vandalism 11:13 a.m. A rock was thrown through a window overnight.

Temple Hills Drive - 1400 Block Vandalism, vehicle 12:16 p.m. A windshield was smashed overnight.

St. Ann's Drive & Glenneyre Assault 1:33 p.m. A parking dispute escalated when the passenger of one car got out and pounded on the hood of the RP's car. Police said she became frightened enough to leave the area when the man threatened to pull her out of her car. She called police and a report for assault was taken.

Montage Resort Burglary, commercial; Grand Theft 9:11 p.m. Police responded to the Treasure Island parking structure where Montage security was detaining a suspect. San Clemente resident Daniel Eric Welch, 42, allegedly took food items and over a dozen towels from an outside storage room that was unlocked. He was arrested for grand theft and commercial burglary. Both of the charges are felonies.
