Student illustrators and those in hybrid art programs will present their first exhibition, Invisible Children, Mar. 1 - 14 at the Laguna College of Art & Design gallery, 2222 Laguna Canyon Road.
The public is invited to meet the artists at an opening reception to be held in conjunction with First Thursdays Art Walk on Mar. 6 from 5-8 p.m.
The exhibit theme takes its name and inspiration from the documentary film"Invisible Children: Rough Cut," which exposes the tragic realities of northern Uganda's night commuters and child soldiers.
The public is invited to attend free screening of the movie Mar. 7 at 3 p.m. on campus. Watching the film has inspired students to create artwork and to raise awareness of the situation in Uganda.
Exhibition hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday until 4 p.m.
