10,000 and Counting Every day for the last 14 years, even when sick or on vacation, acrylic artist Doug Miller, 62, paints. Sometimes he completes four paintings in a day, relying on his own photos to create original seascapes or landscapes on canvases as small as postcards. On May 10, he expects to complete his 10,000th work. He's sold 8,000. Another 200 are unfinished but 1,500 await buyers, spilling from his studio.
