Charm Tour Sets Out for North Laguna

The popular Village Laguna Charm House Tour will be held on May 18. The tour is attended by over 800 residents and visitors who spend an afternoon visiting some of Laguna's most beautiful and interesting homes.

The tour is part of the city's celebration of its heritage in May.

This year is the 36th annual Charm House Tour, and it will feature fivenorth Laguna Beach homes. The fivehouses on the tour, four of which have coastline views, include a 1920s cottage remodeled in Craftsman style, a striking contemporary green home, an original folkart cottage, a mid-century home inspired by the work of Richard Neutra, and an oceanfront estate.

Specially chartered buses will pick up participants at the Festival Grounds on Laguna Canyon Road (park across the street in the City's new public lot) from noon until 3:30 p.m. The buses will circulate among the homes and the Festival area throughout the day. The last bus departs at 3:30 p.m. and homes are closed for viewing at 5:30 p.m. Walking and stair climbing are required and comfortable shoes are a must. Civic leaders will be among the home and bus guides. The tour can be completed at one's own pace, normally taking two to three hours.

Proceeds benefit Village Laguna, which relies on tour proceeds to fund its political contributions and scholarships.
