Realtors' Tasteful Fundraiser Benefits Local Charities

Submitted photo From left, gallery directors John Eagle, John Szabo and Greg Martin are among a dozen North Laguna gallery contributors to Laguna Board of Realtors' Taste for Charity.
The Laguna Board of Realtors and Affiliates will present their 13th annual "A Taste of Charity" event from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, at Tivoli Too, 777 Laguna Canyon Road.

With the help of local galleries, artists, merchants, and top area restaurants, they have created an evening of fineart, music, drink and exquisite tasting dishes, all for the benefit of local charities.

The price of admission includes six "Taste Tickets," which guests use to sample food from the surrounding food booths provided by local area restaurants, or for a glass of wine. While enjoying these "tastes" of Laguna, guests can peruse the works of local artists up for silent auction and drop tickets off in front of the raffle items in the opportunity drawing. There will also be a live auction.

Last year's event raised over $40,000, and the goal is to surpass that amount this year. The beneficiaries from the profitsof this year's event will be the Laguna Beach Community Clinic, First Thursday's Art Walk, the Friendship Shelter, four Laguna Beach High School art scholarships, Laguna Beach Live, La Playa, Sally's Fund, American Associations of University Women-Foundation, and the College of Art & Design.

Sponsorships are still available. Tickets are $30 per person and include six "Taste Tickets." For more information and/or to become a sponsor, call community events chairperson Nancy Pooley at 230-3353, or call executive vice president Stephanie Lennon at the Laguna Board of Realtors at 497-2474.
