Settlement Talks Begin Over Homeless Suit
In a surprise announcement, City Attorney Phil Kohn said the city's elected officials unanimously agreed to begin informal settlement talks with the American Civil Liberties Union, which the week before had filed a lawsuit on behalf of five homeless plaintiffs, challenging the lawfulness of city ordinances. Laguna's CIF Prospects Look Strong
Laguna's winter sports teams, basketball, soccer, and girls water polo, emerged from the winter break ready to compete in the Breakers' Orange Coast League for the remainder of the regular season. The lone exception is girls water polo (10-0), which plays a single four-match round in league scattered among 19 matches, including two major in-season tournaments. Full Story
