Richard Seybold

Richard Kent Seybold, of Laguna Beach, passed away at home from a heart attack on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008. He was 69.

He was born on April 19, 1939, in Edinburg, Ill., but spent most of his childhood in the small farming town of Chenoa, Ill.

After graduating from Illinois State University, he came to California to teach business in the Long Beach school district. He earned a master's degree is counseling and spent the majority of his career as a student counselor at Placentia's El Dorado High School.

Seybold and his wife, Sue, spent their 35 years of marriage in Laguna Beach. Besides his wife, Seybold is survived by his two children, Stacey and Steven, and their spouses, Jon and Kathy, respectively, and his granddaughter, Ayla Jane Donaldson.

He will be missed by everyone who was fortunate to walk through life with him.
