Three Athletes Earn All-CIF Honors
LBHS football standouts Mitch McMullin and Chris Paul and girls volleyball star Alexandra Palmer were named first team All-CIF this week. McMullin, a 6-1, 230-pound offensive lineman, was also honored by the Orange Coast League as the conference's most outstanding lineman. Full Story

In a preview of the featured artist in the upcoming Laguna Beach Music Festival, cellist Lynn Harrell will perform briefly Wednesday, Jan. 21, at the PTA Coffee Break parent education talk, providing an audible example of the role music plays in the emotional and intellectual development of children. Laguna Beach residents Alison Azera and her father Richard won the fatherdaughter tournament in the Fred Perry Cup and Family Christmas Classic in San Diego. Son Adrien and his dad competed in the fatherson tournament, but lost in the semi-final round. Full Story

Each Game Counts As Teams Vie for League Titles
Laguna Beach High School's five winter sports teams have all started Orange Coast League play in their quest for a post-season run at a CIF title. This past week, Laguna teams, except for girls' water polo, opened at Godinez High School where the Breakers went 2-1-1. Full Story
