Student of the Month
Senior Kyle Jenkins was selected to receive Rotary Club's student of the month award. Joining him was his social studies teacher Jenny Lundblat, left, and Rotary presenter Pam Polzin. Testing Day Nears for Mater Dei Prospects
Mater Dei High School will administer an entrance exam on Jan. 31 at 7:45 a.m. for ninth and 10th grade students interested in fall 2009 enrollment. Students should report to the school's Meruelo Athletic Center with their social security numbers and testing fee of $60 per student. Full Story

Fleming Reaches 200 LBHS Wins
Laguna Beach High School basketball coach Bret Fleming earned his 200th career coaching victory when the Breakers defeated Irvine at Dugger Gym on Jan. 6.
