Camp Rock Sets Up at Studio
Keep your little stars performing during ski week, Feb. 16-20, at No Square Theatre's "Camp Rock," a week full of musical fun for boys and girls over age 6. The camp will take place at No Square's rehearsal studio in Legion Hall, 384 Legion St., Laguna Beach, and is available for five full nine-hour days, (8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) as well as full day or half day drop-ins. Little Artists Make a Splash
The kids at Top of the World Elementary received a hands-on demonstration creating one-of-a-kind art through Local Color, where local artists share their expertise with little Rembrandts in-training. Kindergarteners to fifth graders created their own masterpieces in mediums such as paint, clay, textiles and glitter. Full Story
Chinese Class Begins at Thurston
New and returning adults and students 12 and older are invited to enroll in Mandarin classes just beginning at Thurston Middle School. Berlitz language instructor instructor Jean Wu will teach the classes on the Thurston's campus in room 211. Full Story
Beach Volleyball Classes to Begin
The city's recreation department beach volleyball classes are set to start at Main Beach on Feb. 28 for beginning through advanced players, 16-and-older. Future classes will be offered in the spring and summer, and a city tournament is scheduled in June. Full Story

It's a Showdown - Breakers (23-3) Face Corona del Mar (24-1) Today
Laguna Beach High School Girls Water Polo will conclude its most successful regular season in the 12-year history of the sport when they face top-ranked Corona del Mar today (Friday) at the Sea Queens Pool. Laguna hammered Costa Mesa, 20-6, Wednesday as 10 different players tallied goals. The 24-3 Breakers (#5 in SoCal) hope to mix up the rankings with an upset of CdM. Full Story
