Laguna Earns Top CIF Ranking
Laguna's boys volleyball team benefited from its tough schedule, earning the top spot in CIF Division II in this past week's coaches poll. Still, the Breakers struggled this past weekend after the revenge sweep by Corona del Mar on Wednesday, March 18. The Sea Kings defeated Laguna 25-17, 25-21, 25-20 to cut the Breaker advantage in the series to 29-20. Full Story

Laguna Baseball beach Breakers 2-0 in League Laguna (4-3, 2-0) stormed to an early advantage in the 2009 Orange Coast League race with a pair of wins to open the league pennant chase. Last Friday, Laguna hammered out 24 hits to rout Godinez 21-1. Dillon Pierce and Keaton Jones had 5 for 5 outings while Austin Paxson had 4 hits. Full Story
Trees and Eco-Knowledge Take Root at Anneliese
The Common Vision Fruit Tree Tour recently made a stop at Anneliese School, transforming their schoolyard into a living classroom. The students were treated to a demonstration play, hands-on planting experience, and a participatory music activity before working in art groups to document some of their insights. Full Story
CLC Welcomes Potential Students
The Community Learning Center (CLC) will hold an informational orientation from 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, for all interested and incoming families. The orientation, which is open to all families within the Laguna Beach Unified School District, will be held on the CLC campus at Top of the World School and will include classroom tours and refreshments. Skill Workouts Set for Youth Football
The Laguna Beach High School football staff will begin conducting football skill workouts through Laguna Beach Community Services on Sundays this spring. The workouts will cover the skills necessary to play wide receiver, running back, quarterback and defensive backfield. Full Story
