Baseball Baseball Clinches Post Season Berth Laguna secured a long-waited trip to post season play with a crushing 17-3 win over Estancia at the Eagles home field. Laguna took an early 6 run lead in the second inning and held a 10-0 edge before Estancia scored. Full Story

Laguna Women Made a Run for the Money
Three Laguna Beach women - Krystal Kimball, Moka Allen and Michelle Kimball - added their might to a 12-woman team that ran in the 2009 LA Ragnar Relay in April to raise money for Operation Kids, an organization that supports local programs promoting health, nutrition and fitness. Full Story
Foundation Funds Artistic Less ons
The Laguna Beach Festival of Art Foundation recently awarded Laguna Beach schools grants to enhance art education programs. Top of the World Elementary received a $12,000 grant and Laguna Beach High School a $20,000 grant, divided between performing and visual arts departments. Full Story
Three Junior Teams Sweep Their Matches
All three Laguna Beach Junior Team tennis teams won matches during recent matches. The 12 & under Blue Team shut out the Turtle Rock team 9-0, playing at Alta Laguna Park. Both Tyler Jackson, playing #1 position, and Dom Droulez (6) played perfect tennis and enjoyed 6-0 results. Judge Washer (2) won his match in a tiebreak 6-5. Full Story

Rotary Honors a Theater Student
A student actress was awarded April's student of the month by the Laguna Beach High School drama department and Laguna's Rotary Club. Celena DelPizzo-Howell was praised for her outstanding work by her faculty adviser Mark Dressler. She plans to continue to pursue theater at Orange Coast College. Full Story
Cub Scouts Hunting for Recruits
Cub Scout Pack 35 is currently recruiting for new scouts in grades kindergarten to fourth grade. The Cub Scouts is part of Boy Scouts of America, a program that serves others by helping to instill values in young people.
