Jim Skaug

Jim Skaug, a former Laguna Beach resident, died May 7, 2009, in Hemet, Calif. He was 62.

Skaug, a native of Marshall, Minn., graduated from Millikan High School in Long Beach and earned an associate arts degree from Long Beach City College.

He later joined the U.S. Army, becoming a first lieutenant and serving in Vietnam and earning the Army Commendation Medal on April 9, 1968.

He is survived by three siblings, Mike Skaug, of Olalla, Wash., Bob Skaug, of Idyllwild, Calif., and Peggy Marshall of Hemet, Calif.

Funeral arrangements were made by San Jacinto Valley Mortuary.
