Council member Elizabeth Pearson was honored with Laguna Beach Seniors' 2009 Legacy Award by president, Chris Quilter, for her 10-year drive to bring the Susi Q Center to fruition. She credited her persevering nature to an adopted godfather, Cody Engle, and two grandmothers. The gala raised $50,000.
