In addition, the Southern California Artists Association will hold an artists reception for its annual "dry" mediums juried art exhibition Pastel Plus the same night, Saturday, May 16, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the same complex, 3251 Laguna Canyon Road, F3.

The exhibition, available for viewing on Sunday, May 17 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., will feature more than 50 original artworks in pastel, charcoal, chalk or pencil. Featured works in the open studio event include jewelry; fine art tiles; ceramics; monoprints; traditional printmaking; contemporary, abstract and landscape painting; portrait commissions; etched and beaded glass; fiber arts; and affordable giclée reproductions. Prices range from $20 to $20,000. Some artists accept credit cards, and cash sales are always encouraged and appreciated.
