Old Boardshorts May Be the Ticket to a New Wardrobe
Laguna Surf and Sport has teamed up with Volcom Stone to facilitate their "Recycle Your Boardshorts for a Good Cause" program. Residents are encouraged to bring their unwanted, but still wearable, boardshorts of any brand to Laguna Surf and Sport and deposit them in the Volcom recycling bin throughout July. Full Story
Scouts Earn Top Awards
Christine Eidt, Allison Kono, Ashley Brown and Katie Hynson of Laguna Beach Junior Girl Scout troop 2136, were awarded the bronze award last week at the annual Girl Scout Bridging ceremony. The bronze award is the highest award a Girl Scout at the junior level can achieve. Full Story

The Neighborhood Congregational Church, 340 St. Ann's Drive, will host a presentation by activist Zoe Nicholson, author of "The Hungry Heart - A Woman's Fast for Justice," at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 12.
