A member of the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach, six-yearold Kenneth Chu, is one of 36 member artists from club across the country whose work has been chosen for a national exhibit. Selected from more than 252 finalists, Chu's work, "Under Water Robot," won in the print-making category for his age group and will travel with the exhibit on a nationwide tour.
The national judging was held recently in Atlanta, Ga. Each winning artist will receive a plaque and letter from Roxanne Spillett, president of Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
The club offers digital photography, sculpting, painting, print making, ceramics, and more, and the help of guest artists such as Tom Swimm and Rita Blitt who teach workshops. Their program is sponsored by the Montage resort and Redfern Gallery.
