Tango With A Mango for Polo
The Laguna Beach High School girl's water polo team will fundraise this Saturday, Sept. 12 at the downtown Farmer's Market next to City Hall. Team members will be selling a variety of mangos of pound or more, which sweet, juicy and almost stringless. Mango lovers should scoop up the last of this variety this season while supporting the CIF champion team. Full Story

It's blue skies, barbecue and bands as SchoolPowerPalooza is set to return to El Morro Elementary on Sept. 20, reprising its successful debut last year. The award-winning LBHS Jazz Band will open the event and the Jason Feddy band will be returning along with others, so there will be no shortage of entertainment during the barbecue dinner served al fresco at El Morro. Rotary Club Helps Give Preschooler an 'Even Start'
The Laguna Beach Rotary Club recently presented a $5,000 check to the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach to provide a local preschooler, Maya, with a one-year scholarship to attend the club's Even Start preschool program. For the previous two years, the Rotary Club has provided scholarships to Maya's brother Dexter, who has now graduated and gone on to kindergarten. Full Story
