A Doctor Looks Back on His Time at War
Laguna Beach resident Jim Hall received a letter in July 2001 that sent him back 40 years, to his Army service as a flight surgeon aboard H-21 Shawnee helicopters, patching up soldiers and dodging sniper bullets, in Vietnam. The letter from a former fellow soldier, a door gunner, requested his help with records for the Veteran's Administration, a plea he easily answered. Full Story
