Boys Water Polo (4-3) Coach Ethan Damato's squad finshed seventh at the Riverside Poly Tournament but were unable to dent the top two pre-season leaders in their CIF playoff division. Breakers opened play last Thursday crushing South Pasadena 14-1 behind Nolan McConnell's seven goals. Full Story

Injuries Cripple Defense
The lack of depth for the 2009 Breakers squad, with many players required to play both offense and defense, was keenly felt last week. With four players sidelined by injuries, Coronado's Islanders scored nine touchdowns in just 27 plays to bury Laguna with the most points ever scored against the locals in 75 seasons of play. Blue Skies for 2nd School Power Palooza
More than 450 people enjoyed music with family and friends during last Sunday's School- PowerPalooza at El Morro Elementary. The award-winning Laguna Beach High School jazz band kicked off the event, followed by news from Principal Don Austin and Jazz Director Roger Shew that student enrollment for the jazz band was at a record-breaking high.
