Information in Street Beat is compiled from publicly available logs of the Laguna Beach Police Department and often follow-up interviews.

The paper's policy is to publish the names of those arrested depending on the seriousness of the allegation, if there are aggravating circumstances, such as prior offenses, and if the account is reasonably complete. DUIs

Warren Keith Milledge, 45, of Mission Viejo, was arrested for suspicion of DUI at 2 a.m. Sept. 17 near Montage resort and held for $15,000 bail, a third offense in 10 years. His German shepherd spent the night in the animal shelter.

Kevin Hurd Bradford, 45, of Dana Point was arrested for suspicion of DUI about 6:27 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18 at Coast Highway and Cress Street. He was held for $10,000 bail, indicating a prior offense.

A 24-year-old Newport Beach man was arrested at 1 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19 in the 700 block of Catalina Street.

A 33-year-old Aliso Viejo resident was cited at 3:21 a.m., also Saturday, Sept. 19, at Beach and Broadway.

A 55-year-old resident was also arrested Saturday, Sept. 19 at 6:54 p.m. at Cress and Glenneyre Streets.

A 44-year-old Santa Ana resident was arrested at 2 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 20 in the 400 block of El Bosque.

Monday, Aug. 14

Vehicle burglary. 10 a.m. 300 block of Cypress Drive. Fourth incident in six months.

Forgery. 11:45 a.m. 600 San Nicholas Court. An unknown suspect forged a $3,500 check drawn on the resident's account.

Disturbance. 2:48 p.m. Main Beach. James Clayton Ouelelette, 38, of Orange was arrested for suspicion of DUI in a hit and run incident and held for $50,000 bail. He was questioned due to a complaint about a homeless encampment near a lifeguard tower. 30-packs of beer were poured out.

Traffic stop. 6:41 p.m. 1200 block of Glenneyre St. Andrew Glenn Kinnon, 47, of Mission Viejo, was arrested for suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale. He was held for $25,000 bail.

Animal call. 7 p.m. 1300 block Dunning Drive. A resident spotted what looked like a 20-pound mountain lion.

Suspicious activity. 7:25 p.m. 700 block S. Coast Highway. A woman believes food left out for her where she works was spiked.

Fight. 8:29 p.m. Main Beach playground. A disturbance among 10 teens and transients was dispersed.

Tuesday, Aug. 15

Disturbance. 2:48 a.m. 300 block of Y Place. Four people, including local residents James Hidalgo, 41, and Megan Briano, 23, were arrested for suspicion of various drug-related charges.

Animal call. 9:39 a.m. 1500 block of S. Coast Highway. A dead seal is found.

Grand theft. 10:49 a.m. 31000 Brentwood Drive. A nanny is suspected in the theft of $5,500 worth of jewelry and clothing.

Counterfeit. 7:38 p.m. A Koffee Klatch employee reported a possible fake $100 bill.

Wednesday, Aug. 16

Welfare check. 9:40 a.m. 300 block of Y Place. Ali Lynn McGowan, 38, of Perris was arrested for suspicion of methamphetamine possession and held for $20,000 bail after police are called due to a report of a couple yelling and banging on the door.

Burglary. 12:43 p.m. 800 block of Fen Way. A resident finds a window that had been broken as she slept.

Burn victim. 2:18 p.m. 1000 block of Cliff Drive. A 19-year-old worker suffered a chemical burn from a paint sprayer.

Indecent exposure. 9:04 p.m. Mountain Street Beach. Two men were reported engaged in sexual activity.

Thursday, Aug. 17

Disturbance. 12:07 a.m. Shaw's Cove. A resident reports divers' lights shining into his bedroom.

Prowler. 12:36 a.m. 600 Oak Street. A resident reports hearing loud noises.

Occupied vehicle. 3:50 a.m. 100 Mountain Road. Daniel E. Kelly, 42, of Riverside was arrested for suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance. Bail was set at $20,000.

Vandalism. 9:28 a.m. 1100 block of Coast Highway. Thieves swiped the head of a statue.

Lost property. Main Beach. A beach-goer who collected her belongings after showering left with without a purse whose contents was valued at $7,256 and included a diamond wedding ring.

Burglary. 11:35 a.m. Bushard's Pharmacy. A man kicked in a locked door that accesses a restroom.

Missing person. 5:35 p.m. Mission Hospital. A patient of the mental health unit walked out, but was discovered at his home in San Juan Capistrano a few hours later. He was returned to the unit by sheriff's deputies.

Friday, Aug. 18

Vandalism. 1:28 a.m. Glenneyre Street and Park Avenue. Car tires slashed and a car keyed.

Drunk in public. 9:30 p.m. LBHS. School officials asked for assistance with an intoxicated student. The 16-year-old Laguna Beach boy was released to his grandmother.

Saturday, Aug. 19

Foot patrol. 12:26 a.m. Crescent Bay Park. A 17-year-old girl from Tustin was arrested for suspicion of possessing marijuana for sale after police searched her car and found pre-packaged pot. A 16-year-old Santa Ana boy with her was arrested for alcohol and marijuana violations. She went to juvenile hall; a parent retrieved him at the station.

Domestic violence. 4 a.m. 100 block S. Coast Highway. A sevenyear old boy called police by cell phone to report his mother was being threatened. Fernando Oscar Marroquin, 36, of Lake Forest was arrested for suspicion of battery.

Disturbance. 2:57 p.m. Downtown. William Depiazza of Dana Point was arrested for outstanding traffic warrants after a complaint that he harassed passersby.

Disturbance. 10:20 p.m. S. La Senda Drive. Zachariah Adam Kaplan, 18, of Laguna Beach, was arrested for an outstanding warrant for possession of drugs, a concealed knife and possession of a pills without a prescription and held for $50,000 bail. Police were called to a home due where several juveniles were believed to be drinking and possibly using drugs. Kaplan and another attempted to flee, according to police.

Sunday, Aug. 20

Traffic collision. 1:38 p.m. Casa Laguna Inn. A 16-year-old female driver from Laguna Niguel apparently fell asleep at the wheel and hit a parked car, forcing the temporary closure of traffic lanes.

Suicide attempt. 6 p.m. 1300 block of Gaviota Drive. A drug rehab patient attempted to take his own life by stabbing himself in the chest with a steak knife. The 56-year-old Utah man was taken for treatment to Mission Hospital Laguna Beach.
