Arthur Kelly
Arthur Joseph Thomas Kelly, a resident of Buena Park and Cathedral City, died Oct. 20 at Desert Regional Hospital in Palm Springs. He had turned 90 just four weeks before.
Kelly was born in Walnut Creek, Conn., on Sept. 23, 1919. He was raised in White Plains, N.Y., where he was a runner and enlisted in the U.S. Army, stationed in California.
He was vice president of Illig Painting and Construction Company, which he retired from in his later years, and then moved to the desert with his wife, Gaile Kelly. An avid traveler, Kelly was a “road warrior” and loved visiting his children and grandchildren.
Kelly will be remembered with love by his survivors, who include his wife, Gaile; their children and spouses, Sharon Ashauer and Farrell Kelly, of Laguna Beach, Brian Hale, Cynthia Kelly, Shane Kelly, Joel Kelly and Roark Kelly; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
